Sandy Cay is a private Caribbean tropical island, located approximately 1/2 mile off the west end of the main island of Utila. Utila Island is itself located approximately 18 miles from the coastal town of La Ceiba on the northern coast of mainland Honduras. This private island fringed by sandy beaches and a pristine coral reef. It has only one house constructed on it - your tropical island vacation rental. If you are looking for a Caribbean vacation to get away from it all, then this is the place for you. You can rent the entire island for just $US 100.00 per night! Access to the island is by a 20 minute (approx) boat journey from Utila's Pigeon Cay or a 50 minute (approx) boat ride from the main town in Utila's Eastern Harbor.
No of Rooms & Prices ($US) :	House sleeps 6-14 people. The House has 2 bedrooms (one with 2 single beds, other with 2 queen beds), 2 bathrooms, fully furnished kitchen (with 2 refrigerators, gas stove, utensils, cutlery, crockery, etc), living room (with 8 single mattresses) $100.00 per night to rent the entire island. Additional people can camp outside ($15.00 per extra person - when more than 6) Rates are correct as at 12-Feb-2008
Facilities:	Electrical power is by a solar generator. No television, air-conditioning or hi-fi stereo system. Water is provided by two big tanks. Nearest shopping (supplies only) at Pigeon Cay - 5 minutes boat ride away.
Location:	Approximately 1/2 mile of the west end of Utila. Access by boat only - 20 minutes from Utila, 5 minutes from Pigeon Cay) Recommend contacting George or Barry Jackson to make arrangements for travel from Utila's municipal dock.
