 El Picante is a family owned and operated Restaurant specializing in Mexican Food and located a few yards from the Utila Municipal Dock in the center of town with indoor and outdoor seating where you can enjoy the Utila Eastwind breezes. It is a great place for lunch before catching your 2:00 pm ferry to La Ceiba or catch their happy hours (4:00 pm- 7:00 pm) while waiting for your friends coming in the 5:00pm ferry. The menu has a large selection of veggie dishes. Most of their dishes are freshly made as soon as you order. (you will be the judge). Definitely the friendliest Restaurant in Utila. The Owners (or at least one of them) are always on the premises. You will tell by their greetings and smile during your visit. This is a good place to relax while enjoying their large selection of local or imported beers and wines. The Restaurant is also good source of information and history of Utila since one of the owners is third generation Utilian. English, spanish, french and swahili are languages spoken here. |
