The following are average prices and may vary between the different Dive Shops in Utila. There is fierce competition among the Dive Shops in Utila which helps to keep prices low (good news for you), but the standards of equipment, the facilities, range of dive courses and discounts on offer also varies. Some Dive Shops are PADI certified Scuba Diving Operators and some are Independent Operators. Given the high level of competition here on the Island of Utila, you pretty much get what you pay for.
One thing you can be sure about is that you will get some great diving for a great price!

PADI Open Water Scuba DiverAlthough this is not the most basic Scuba Diving Course you can take, it is the most popular and provides all the basic skills enabling you to scuba dive without supervision to a maximum depth of 18 metres/ 60 feet. The course typically lasts 3 to 4 days and includes 2 shallow water dives and 2 open water dives plus some classroom time learning theories of scuba diving, diving equipment and safety procedures. ► Virtually anybody who is in good health and over 14 years of age can take this course. (You will be consider to be in good health if you can answer No to all the questions on the PADI Medical Statement. If you answer Yes to any of the questions on the PADI Medical Statement you will need a Medical Certificate signed by a Doctor.) |

PADI Advanced Open Water DiverIf you want to gain new experiences, new skills then the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver program is for you. PADI Rescue DiverThis course will expand your knowledge and experience level: Rescue Divers learn to look beyond themselves and consider the safety and well being of other divers. Although this course is serious, it is an enjoyable way to build your confidence. Rescue Diver training will prepare you to prevent problems and, if necessary, manage dive emergencies. During the five open water sessions, you'll cover:

PADI DiveMasterTake the first step in your dive career and become a PADI DiveMaster. Working closely with a PADI Instructor, you'll expand your dive knowledge and hone your skills as you become a dive professional. PADI DiveMaster training develops your leadership abilities by training you to supervise dive activities and assist instructors with student divers. This course can be completed within 2 weeks, but most people taking this course in Utila want to spend 3 - 6 months working as a DiveMaster-in-Training (DMT) at one of the local Dive Shops, building their skills and gaining invaluable practical experience in scuba diving operations, plus filling their log books with lots dives! What can PADI DiveMaster do?
► You will need to be a certified PADI Rescue Diver, a minimum age of 18, a minimum of 20 logged dives to start the course (70 logged dives to complete the course), and medical certificate proving you are in good health and fit to dive.
